Overall, 17.9% of patients reported minor side effects, with patients in the D-mannose group having a significantly lower risk of experiencing side effects compared with the furanotoxin group.
Researchers concluded that pure D mannose powder significantly reduced the risk of recurrence of UTIs. It may be useful in preventing urinary tract infections, although more research is needed to confirm these results.
