Product Introduction
What is Lipase Enzyme?
Lipase Enzyme Powder, also known as triglyceride hydrolase, is a general term for a class of enzymes that can hydrolyze long-chain fatty acid triglycerides. Its main function is to catalyze the hydrolysis of oils and fats, breaking down triglycerides into glycerol and fatty acids. This process is very important because if the fat is not completely digested, it will coat the food particles and hinder the decomposition of other food components such as carbohydrates and proteins. It is a special type of ester bond hydrolase, which is divided into non-specific lipase, fatty acid-specific lipase and specific lipase according to substrate specificity. This type of enzyme exists in animals, plants and microorganisms. Among them, microbial lipase has been widely used in the food industry in recent years due to its wide adaptability and good stability.

Characteristics of Lipases
Position specificity
Refers to the enzyme's recognition and hydrolysis of the Sn-1 (or 3) and Sn-2 ester bonds of the substrate triglyceride.
Stereospecificity
Generally refers to the enzyme's recognition and selective hydrolysis of the 1- and 3-position ester bonds of the stereo-corresponding structure in the substrate triglyceride.
For example, porcine pancreatic lipase has no stereoselectivity for the 1- and 3-positions when hydrolyzing triglycerides; lipoprotein lipase in human milk and cow's milk preferentially hydrolyzes the 1-position ester bond.
Source
Among animals, plants and microorganisms, microbial lipases are the most diverse and widely found in bacteria, yeast and molds. They are the easiest to obtain and mass produce, and have a wider pH and temperature adaptability than animal and plant lipases. Therefore, they are an important source for industrial applications.
Bacterial lipases
Most of them are extracellular enzymes that are easy to ferment in liquid deep layers and are relatively easy to produce. Most bacterial lipases are alkaline lipases and have good stability between pH 4~11 and temperature 30℃~60℃. Bacterial lipases of the genus Pseudomonas are the most widely used.
Fungal lipases
Lipase Enzyme Powder has the advantages of temperature and pH stability, substrate specificity, high activity in organic solvents, and relatively low extraction costs, so it has developed rapidly.
Health benefits
Promote fat digestion and absorption
It can break down fat in food into smaller molecules, such as glycerol and fatty acids, which are more easily absorbed by the intestines, thereby providing energy and essential fatty acids to the body.
Regulate lipid metabolism
Participate in the metabolic balance of lipids in the human body, can prevent the accumulation of excessive fat, and help maintain normal lipid levels.
Assist in the treatment of hyperlipidemia
Lipase Enzyme Powder can help lower the levels of serum total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, while increasing the level of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, and has an auxiliary therapeutic effect on patients with hyperlipidemia.
Prevent steatorrhea
By effectively breaking down fat in food and reducing the amount of undigested fat entering the colon, diarrhea symptoms caused by excessive fat content can be prevented.
Assist in weight loss
It can break down fat and convert it into free fatty acids and glycerol for human use, which helps reduce fat accumulation and is helpful for weight loss.
Applications
Food
In the food industry, it is used to improve the flavor of dairy products, enhance the stability of meat products, and improve the quality of bread and other baked goods. In chocolate and fat products, lipase can improve texture and flavor.
Medicine
Lipase Enzyme Powder is used to prepare drugs such as calcium channel blockers, by catalyzing enantioselective hydrolysis and reducing chemical synthesis steps.
Detergents and Textiles
Adding it to detergents can enhance detergency, especially suitable for removing fat-containing stains.
In textile processing, it is used for degreasing and improving the texture of textiles.
Feed
As a feed additive, it can improve the lack of endogenous digestive enzymes in animals, promote fat digestion, and accelerate animal growth.
Dosage Recommendations
The standard adult dose is 6,000 lipase activity units (LU). Take one to two capsules three times a day. Take on an empty stomach 30 minutes before a meal. Supplementation is not recommended for children under 12 years of age. It is recommended to consult a physician before taking any form of supplementation.
