What is cycloastragalinol?

Cycloastraganol powder is also known as triterpene cycloastraganol, with a chemical formula of C30H50O5 and a molecular weight of 490.71. It is a triterpene saponin compound and is mainly obtained by the hydrolysis of astragaloside IV. The substance appears as colorless needle-like crystals with a density of 1.20 g/cm³. Cycloastraganol is the only telomerase activator discovered so far. It delays telomere shortening by increasing telomerase, so it is considered to have anti-aging effects.

CAG is a cycloartane type among the tetracyclic triterpenoids, which is obtained by breaking the two glycosidic bonds of AS-IV. Compared with AS-IV, CAG has enhanced fat solubility and is more easily absorbed through the cell membrane; however, it has poor water solubility and low oral bioavailability.
