Product Introduction

What is Roxburgh Rose Extract?

Roxburgh rose extract is a powdered product made from the dried fruit of the Rosaceae plant, Rosa roxburghii Tratt. f. normalis Rehd. et Wils., using traditional high-temperature reflux steam extraction technology. It retains the unique and rich flavor of the roxburgh rose and is highly soluble in water. It is rich in active substances such as vitamin C, superoxide dismutase (SOD), polysaccharides, flavonoids, tannins, and triterpenes. Its vitamin C content is exceptionally high, approximately 500 times that of apples and 20 times that of kiwifruit, earning it the nickname "King of Vitamin C."

Roxburgh rose extract is primarily used in beverages, foods, and compressed candies. In beverages, it enhances the unique flavor and improves the taste of beverages; in foods, it adjusts the sweetness and sourness of foods; and in candies, it improves the texture and adds a unique flavor to compressed candies.

Superoxide dismutase (SOD) is an active substance derived from living organisms that eliminates harmful substances produced during metabolism. Continuously supplementing the body with SOD has a special anti-aging effect.

The Health Benefits of SOD in Roxburgh Rose Extract

Maintains Cell Activity and Delays Aging

Aging and illness are caused by free radicals. Free radicals continuously react with cells in human tissues, causing harmful effects such as damage to nucleic acids and proteins, leading to aging. SOD in Roxburgh Rose Extract inhibits lipid peroxidation, delays the aging process caused by superoxide radical damage, maintains metabolic balance, keeps the body youthful and vibrant, and effectively combats the appearance of dark spots and pigmentation. Supplementing SOD protects the body from free radical damage, delays cell aging, and maintains cellular health, enhancing resistance, antioxidant activity, and anti-aging.

Protecting Cell Health and Function, Boosting Immunity

SOD promotes metabolism, protects cell health, strengthens the body's ability to prevent and fight disease, and enhances humoral and cellular immune function, thereby strengthening immunity. It regulates the normal functioning of various body systems, maintaining health, preventing or reducing illness. If illness does occur, the immune system, acting as a self-healing medicine, can help the body recover.

Eliminates intravascular resistance and prevents chronic diseases

High blood lipids can lead to elevated plasma concentrations, arteriosclerosis, and increased intravascular resistance. Severe cases can lead to diabetes and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, including cerebral infarction, stroke, coronary heart disease, myocardial infarction, and heart failure. Insufficient SOD levels continuously generate oxygen free radicals, which cross-link with proteins in the blood vessel walls, causing thickening and hardening of the arteriolar walls, narrowing of the lumen, increased intravascular resistance, and blood viscosity, leading to various cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.

SOD enters the bloodstream and scavenges deposited free radicals, freeing deposited lipoproteins. This rapidly increases oxygen utilization, improves peripheral blood flow, and reduces myocardial lipofuscin.

Resists radiation and repairs damaged cells

Radiation pollution can affect the body's circulatory, immune, reproductive, and metabolic functions. SOD is an effective radioprotectant and can be widely used in the prevention and treatment of radiation damage. SOD can reduce the harmful effects of UV radiation on the human body by 70%, preventing and eliminating wrinkles, dark spots, and skin damage caused by UV rays. Exogenous SOD supplementation increases the body's SOD content and activity, effectively preventing radiation-induced cell damage, DNA mutations, and abnormal cell differentiation.

Roxburgh Rose Extract

It promotes metabolism, enhances cell vitality, and preserves youthfulness

Medical research shows that oxygen free radicals damage skin connective tissue, causing collagen cross-linking within the connective tissue, reducing connective tissue elasticity and causing contractures, leading to wrinkles. Hyaluronidase in the skin degrades and breaks down elastic fibers, weakening moisturizing properties and increasing wrinkles.

SOD effectively protects epidermal cells, sebaceous glands, subcutaneous fat, sweat glands, and elastin, preventing hyperpigmentation and melanin formation, increasing skin moisture, and improving skin health from the inside out. Therefore, it is often referred to in Europe and the United States as a "skin vitamin" and "oral cosmetic."

Scavenges free radicals to maintain healthy cellular and metabolic functions

Free radicals are a source of toxic substances produced by human metabolism and are highly destructive. Excessive accumulation in the body can rob healthy cells of electrons, weakening the body's immune system and contributing to many diseases.

Cells are the fundamental building blocks of the human body. Only when cells function properly can the body be healthy. Supplementing SOD can scavenge excess free radicals, slow cell aging, protect cell health, and act as an antioxidant.

The SOD in Roxburgh Rose Extract is at the top of the antioxidant pyramid, a "fighter" among antioxidants. It can target superoxide anion free radicals in a 1:N ratio, preventing oxidative stress at the source of cellular oxidation, effectively preventing chronic diseases, physical weakness, and facial aging.

Roxburgh Rose Extract: Why Does It Fight Fatigue?

The mechanism of action of Roxburgh Rose Extract in fighting fatigue is primarily based on its rich bioactive components and its regulation of energy metabolism and oxidative stress.

Enhancing Glycogen Stores and Maintaining Energy Supply

Roxburgh Rose Extract significantly increased liver glycogen stores in mice, with particularly pronounced effects at doses of 0.5g/kg and 1.0g/kg. As a crucial energy source during exercise, increased liver glycogen stores help prolong endurance and delay the onset of fatigue. Furthermore, increased glycogen stores help reduce urea nitrogen production caused by energy deficiency, thereby alleviating the metabolic burden of exercise.

Inhibiting Lactic Acid Accumulation and Improving the Metabolic Environment

Roxburgh Rose Extract significantly reduced blood lactate levels after exercise, reducing lactate accumulation in the body and thereby alleviating muscle soreness and fatigue. Although its effect on lactate dehydrogenase activity was not significant, Roxburgh Rose Extract, by regulating aerobic glycolysis, helps maintain metabolic balance during exercise.

Reduces urea nitrogen production and reduces the burden of metabolic waste.

An increase in blood urea nitrogen after exercise indicates increased protein and amino acid breakdown. Rosa roxburghii extract can effectively inhibit the exercise-induced rise in urea nitrogen, reflecting its role in reducing the accumulation of metabolic waste, thereby promoting faster recovery.

Roxburgh Rose Extract

Anti-oxidative stress and protecting cellular structure.

Rosa roxburghii polysaccharides, rich in polyphenols, vitamin C, and polysaccharides, possess strong antioxidant activity. Studies have shown that rosa roxburghii polysaccharides can increase superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity and glutathione levels, reduce malondialdehyde (MDA) levels, thereby inhibiting lipid peroxidation, protecting cell membranes and mitochondrial structure, and alleviating fatigue caused by oxidative damage.

Prolongs hypoxia tolerance and enhances stress adaptation.

Rosa roxburghii extract significantly prolonged the survival of mice in hypoxic environments at low doses, demonstrating its ability to enhance the body's adaptability to low oxygen conditions. This effect may be related to improved energy utilization efficiency and antioxidant mechanisms, indirectly supporting its comprehensive benefits in fatigue prevention.

Roxburgh Rose Extract exerts anti-fatigue effects through multiple pathways and targets by increasing glycogen reserves, regulating lactic acid and urea nitrogen metabolism, enhancing antioxidant defense systems, and improving hypoxia tolerance, making it a potential natural anti-fatigue functional raw material.
