In a 90-day randomized, double-blind, controlled trial involving 34 healthy adults, participants who supplemented with 367 mg of Euglena gracilis powder daily (with β-1,3-glucan as the core active ingredient (≥50%)) experienced significantly lower rates of upper respiratory tract infection exacerbations, total number of symptoms, duration of symptoms, days of absence due to illness, and overall symptom severity compared to the placebo group. The reductions were 45%, 70%, 65%, 70%, and 80%, respectively, with a clear advantage observed as early as day 30 of the intervention.

Throughout the trial, all participants maintained clinically normal hematological, biochemical, and vital signs, and no product-related adverse events occurred. These results indicate that Euglena gracilis fermented powder can provide effective daily immune support for healthy individuals, reducing the risk and disease burden of upper respiratory tract infections.​​​​​​​
