What is its relationship with squalene?

Squalane and squalene are two compounds with similar structures but significantly different chemical properties and uses. As a hydrogenated product of squalene, squalane perfectly inherits its skin-friendly, moisturizing, and antioxidant advantages, while being more stable than squalene. Its structure is highly similar to squalene in human sebum, thus possessing excellent skin affinity, allowing for rapid absorption and the formation of a breathable protective film on the skin's surface, acting as a barrier.
