Common Production Methods of Calcium Magnesium Inositol Hexaphosphate
Calcium magnesium inositol hexaphosphate can be prepared from corn, industrial calcium phytate, or wheat bran.
Method 1: Place purified corn in a soaking pot and soak in a 0.3% sulfurous acid solution at 52-53°C for 70 hours. Drain the corn soak and add 8°B'e lime milk while stirring. Neutralize to a pH of 5.4-5.8. Let stand for 1 hour. Remove the clear solution, filter the turbid solution, and dry it to obtain calcium magnesium phytate. The yield from corn is 0.2-0.3%.
Method 2: Dissolve industrial calcium phytate in concentrated hydrochloric acid, add activated carbon, and heat to dissolve. Dilute with water and filter. Neutralize the filtrate with 12% sodium hydroxide solution to a pH of 5.1 to precipitate pyridine. Allow to stand and filter. Wash the filter cake with water until the chloride content meets the required level, spin dry, roll into small strips, and air dry to obtain calcium magnesium phytate. The yield of industrial calcium phytate is over 50%.
Method 3: Soak bran curd in dilute nitric acid for 2 hours to obtain a phytic acid aqueous solution. Soak the residue in dilute nitric acid for another 5 hours to obtain a phytic acid aqueous solution. Combine the solutions and add lime milk to a pH of 7. Allow to stand and separate, discard the supernatant, filter, spin dry, and dry to obtain crude calcium magnesium phytate. The yield of dry bran curd is 3-3.5%.
